Privacy notice

Your profile is private. Your choices stay yours.

01

Who we are

Monomials helps PhD researchers describe their expertise and connect with relevant industry opportunities. This notice explains how the Monomials team handles information through monomials.in. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@monomials.in.

02

What we collect and why

Account information: your sign-in provider identifier, verified email address, name and available profile photograph let us create and secure your account. Profile information: your location, phone number, languages, education, PhD status, supervisors, affiliations, research, skills, career history and optional links help our team understand your expertise. Work preferences: opportunity types, availability, locations, salary expectations and soft skills responses help us assess potential fit. Verification information: institutional email addresses and documents you choose to upload help us review your academic background. Company accounts: your organization, website, research domains and general contact let us coordinate hiring. Job requirements contain role descriptions, work arrangements, optional compensation and the contact for each role. Company-visible activity timelines record updates entered by authorized Monomials administrators. Earlier invitation requests remain available to our team. We also keep consent records, review decisions, file metadata and limited security records to operate and protect the service.

03

Your choices

You choose which optional profile information to provide. Required onboarding fields are identified in the form. A photograph and academic evidence are needed to complete verification. You may describe confidential work without disclosing protected material. Please do not upload Aadhaar, PAN, financial account details or documents unrelated to your academic verification. Opportunity contact by email, phone and WhatsApp is optional. You can change these permissions in settings. Essential account and verification messages are separate from opportunity contact.

04

Who can see your information

Your researcher profile and uploaded files are private. They are accessible to you and authorized Monomials team members for the purposes described here. Companies cannot browse or access researcher profiles in this release. We do not sell personal information. If an opportunity requires sharing your details outside our team, we will seek your permission before doing so.

05

Service providers

We use service providers for sign-in, hosting, private file storage and account emails. They receive the information needed to provide these services and may process it outside your country. Their own service terms may also apply. We do not use your uploaded research or documents to train AI models or send them to AI services.

06

Retention and deletion

We retain your profile and verification evidence while your account is active, including after verification, until you remove it or request deletion. You can remove uploaded files from your profile. Researchers can delete their account in settings. Company representatives can request correction or deletion of their company account and requirements by emailing hello@monomials.in from the registered address. This immediately blocks access, ends active sessions and stops opportunity contact. Our team then removes your profile, uploaded files and review records. We retain a minimal database record marked Deleted without your profile, email or sign-in identities after removal. Limited records may be retained where needed to meet a legal obligation, address a dispute or prevent abuse. Backup copies, where configured, expire under the applicable backup retention schedule and are not used for ordinary processing. Contact us for the status or scope of a deletion request.

07

Access, correction and concerns

You can edit your profile, change contact permissions and download your profile information from settings. To request assistance with access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or a privacy concern, email hello@monomials.in from your registered address. We may ask for information needed to confirm that the request is yours. We will acknowledge requests and explain the next steps. You may also exercise rights and use complaint mechanisms available under applicable law.

08

Security and cookies

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in and security controls to restrict access to private information. This release does not use advertising cookies. Sign-in providers may use their own cookies during authentication. No system eliminates every risk; if a relevant security incident occurs, we will take corrective action and provide notifications as required by applicable law.

09

Updates

We may update this notice when the service or its data practices change. We will identify the updated version and seek fresh permission where a new purpose requires it. This version is dated 14 October 2026.
